Studio : I love it!

With nervousness at the prospect, and careful driving in the pouring rain, I made my way over to St Peters [no, no, not the Pearly Gates]. :o)
I drew a map from the Street Directory so it would be easy to read while driving - talk about multi tasking. :)
It's a one way street, so finally wound up and down little roads and lanes, over railway lines, and found myself outside a HUGE warehouse / factory area. I felt like I had to walk a couple of kilometres to get in there, and in the rain it was hard to find the right building [there were so many!]
I climbed up a long set of steep metal steps, and located the door, and was met by Andy. His wife was working in one of the rooms - they'd just rented the warehouse and had it fitted out into smaller studios. I got the grand tour through all the different sized rooms, all with big windows and tons of light [fabulous!]. We looked at about 5 and then Andy said he had one left which was a bit bizarre, so that tickled my fancy.
We walked along the corridor and he opened the door into ... a big white space with tons of windows, totally self contained, with a separate little room with bathroom facilities! As I need basins to wash my textiles, it was perfect!
Well, it was odd - 2 rooms really - but the walls went right up to the ceiling, whereas the other partitions were about 7-8 feet high, and then open space up to the ceiling. I thought it would get noisy if each of those artists had music on at the same time.
As I looked out over the rooftops - trying to make up my mind - I was reminded of Paris and my wonderful apartment which had looked out over the rooftops - a real artist studio, and this place gave me the same 'feel'.
I could imagine myself sitting in a comfy chair by the window, little table with a steaming cafe latte, sketchbooks around me, my cat Mooshie at my feet ... thank heavens for my vivid imagination!
I thanked Andy and told him I'd let him know a.s.a.p.
So much to think about as I drove home in the pouring rain and a bleak winter's day, with bright prospects buzzing round my brain!
