Local Art Exhibition with Mexican flavour

On Friday March 25th, 2011 I popped into the VIVA MEXICO! art Exhibition which included the work of my friend, Steve Fasan.

As I stepped into the fabulous art space, I could have been excused for thinking I really WAS in Mexico - hola!

Fabulous lilting music was being plucked from the strings of a harp and the riot of colour was joy to my eyes :-)

There was an amazing variety of artwork from teeny tiny to large paintings, a mechanical robotic goat (which I fell in love with), a lifesize sculpture made entirely from chili skins hand-stitched together and even a fabric hut (little house) - so much to look at and explore. The atmosphere was gay and fun, and it was terrific to see so many talented artists in this exhibition.
