Silk Painting in France
Sunday, April 22, 2007
Great news! I've booked my trip to France - 3 weeks altogether in June 2007, and I'm sooo excited! I'll be visiting friends in Paris [where I used to live, and where I learnt to paint on silk], then going to Chambon-sur-Lignon, a little village 100km south of Lyon.
I'll spend 5 days at a Silk Painting Festival - all in French! - best dust out those cobwebs! My old friend Frederic lives in Lyon, so I'll visit him for 2 days then return to Paris.
I am sooooo looking forward to it, especially because I get to meet up with Jacqueline and Bill whom I met in Santa Fe [New Mexico, USA] 3 years ago [who live in the USA], and I'll also meet Jean-Louis from Montreal, another silk artist I've met online. What fun we'll have! I have also been working on a new website about Paris, the city I love - it's still early days but you can have a sneak peek here:
Ciao ciao
Teena!
